More than 100 motor teams took part in the Mercedes-Benz DETOUR Challenge Championship, which was held in November in Dubai and Sharjah.
They competed in orienteering skills, the route was laid in the urban areas of Dubai. For the one who successfully passed all the tests and reached the finish line, the main prize was prepared - the new Mercedes-Benz ML 350.
The exciting event was organized by Gargash Enterprises and Detour Events Management with the support of the Emirates Motor Sports Federation, Michelin Tires, Fitness First, Liali Jewelery and Al Rawabi. On the highway, which was laid in Dubai and Sharjah, six pit stops were installed in which tasks were hidden, deciding which motorists could earn prize points.
In total, participants in the championship overcame more than 250 kilometers. First of all, teamwork skills, ability to navigate the terrain and correctly calculate the time were evaluated. The participants were delighted with the past competitions.
The winner was the “Untitled Team”, the captain of which was Sapan Meta, and the navigator was Amog Valavalkar, who arrived on time for every pit stop and precisely followed the route, which allowed them to score the most points. Shehab Gargash, CEO of Gargash Enterprises, congratulated the winners and handed them the key to the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML 350.
