Air traffic between the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong is temporarily suspended

Airlines from the United Arab Emirates canceled flights to and from Hong Kong.

On August 12, 2019, passengers from all over the world traveling to or from Hong Kong faced difficulties: the authorities canceled all flights due to anti-government actions at the airport.

Including Emirates airline canceled flights EK 384/385 Bangkok-Hong Kong-Bangkok. The airline warned that due to protests, delays in EK 386, EK 381 and EK 383 flights may also occur. Emirates recommends regularly checking the flight schedule on the airline’s official website.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and continue to closely monitor the situation."

Etihad Airways flight EY833, which was supposed to fly from Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi, was also canceled on Monday. He was postponed to Tuesday evening, August 13th.

On Monday, Hong Kong Airport Administration announced that it would cancel all flights for which check-in had not yet opened, and advised passengers not to come to the airport. All passengers were advised to leave the terminal building as soon as possible.
