Dubai restaurant accepts payment with a smile

The restaurant from Dubai offers free food to all those in need.

The Arabian restaurant with several locations in the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah offers free food.

On the window of the restaurant near the Mall of the Emirates, the phrase in Arabic and English is written: “If you cannot pay for the food, it is free for you. This is a gift from Allah.”

Jordanian Fadi Ayad, the owner of the Foul W Hummus network, told the media that his concept is based on a simple idea: no one should go hungry - especially workers and those who are looking for work every day.

“This is not a publicity stunt,” Fadi said. “We placed this ad because we wanted everyone to feel welcome with us. People walk past our restaurant, and many of them are hungry but have no money. Seeing signboard, they can just pick it up and drop in. "

Guests can choose from hummus dishes, falafels, sandwiches and other meals. Water, tea and coffee are also provided free of charge.

According to Fadi, Foul W Hummus feeds 30 to 35 people daily for free. Needy people come to the institution seven days a week from 7 am to three in the morning.

“People of different nationalities come to our restaurant - Indians, Pakistanis, Africans, Europeans. We even had a regular visitor from Australia who came here every day to eat for free for almost a year. We knew that she had problems and never took there’s a fee for food, "Fadi shared.

When asked if he was losing profits due to his generosity, Fadi replied that the charity that he had been supporting for three years, on the contrary, was beneficial to his business. Today, he already has three points in Al Barsha, one in Sharjah, and soon another Sheikh Zayed Road will appear.

Fadi, who came to Dubai in 1999, believes his charity work is an opportunity to pay tribute to the locals.

"The leadership of this country teaches us tolerance and generosity," he added
