Dubai, UAE. The first female rescue team in the Persian Gulf region took up service on one of the beaches of Dubai. The team included 11 emirate women who had undergone three-month training and first aid courses for drowning people.

Emirates are able to swim, provide emergency medical care, as well as manage rescue craft. It is reported that in the near future the number of units will be increased.

The project was implemented by the Dubai Police in collaboration with the Women's Police Council. The initiative aims to involve women in all types of police activities and, of course, to increase the level of public happiness.
