Police helicopters rescued three tourists stuck in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah.
Dubai, UAE. The Ras Al Khaimah Police Aviation Unit removed three European tourists who had lost their way during the hike from the mountains. They called the police after they realized that they could not find the way back.
The police sent a rescue helicopter in search of them. Medical assistance was provided to tourists at an altitude of about 400 meters, after which they were transported to the nearest hospital for an additional examination.
Law enforcement officers recommend mountain hikers to inform the authorities about their plans in advance, as well as take mobile or satellite phones with them. To attract attention in the mountains it is also recommended to whistle.
