Dubai authorities offer electric cars with discounts

In Dubai launched an online store with electric vehicles at special prices.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in collaboration with a number of public and private companies, launched the DEWA Store online in its smart app. It offers exclusive offers and discounts, which include, but are not limited to, electric cars.

Mohammed Bin Suleiman, Director of Digital Solutions at DEWA, said that customers will be able to purchase electric cars on favorable terms and receive favorable insurance and installment plans in the online store. DEWA signs agreements with car dealers, insurance companies and banks to make offers available.

The agreements are with AW Rostamani Group, which sells Renault Zoe and Al Ghandi Auto, an official Chevrolet dealer offering Bolt EV. Negotiations are underway for similar agreements with BMW and Toyota.

It also partnered with banks such as Emirates NBD to provide favorable conditions for residents interested in installing solar panels on their roofs.

The application also provides discounts from companies involved in the transport of goods and telecommunications for residents preparing to move.

To date, 20 companies offer discounts on 40 different services in the DEWA Store. Bin Suleiman noted that the platform is free for both organizations and individuals.

"In the future, customers will not have to visit DEWA headquarters - they will receive all services through our application," he said.

DEWA has also launched smart centers to educate customers on how to interact with intelligent services. Three centers are located in Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Festival City and Dragon Mart. Rammas, a virtual employee who uses artificial intelligence to answer queries, helps them.
