Dubai combines all transport services in one application

One RTA application provides travel across Dubai by all means of transport, including Uber and Careem taxis.

A number of Dubai’s Roads and Roads (RTA) mobile apps will soon shut down as separate services and will be integrated into an integrated mobile platform called S'hail, said Adel Shakri, director of transport systems at RTA.

“S'hail integrates all RTA transportation services, such as Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, taxis and buses, maritime transport and limousine services on one platform. This makes the trip quick, easy and hassle-free, and also offers taxi booking options from other electronic services such as Uber and Careem, "said Chakri.

The application also provides real-time traffic information and recommendations for choosing a vehicle, so applications such as Wojhati will be superfluous.

Shakri said that since the launch in October, S'hail has already been downloaded about 70 thousand times.

Future updates for S'hail include the integration of ekar and UDrive car rental services. Also, traffic flow monitoring will be enabled, and public transport users will be able to replenish their Nol cards through S'hail.

The platform will be integrated with Palm Monorail and Dubai Trolley through a single application that allows customers to order the service and pay fees.
