To ensure order on the Independence Day of the UAE, Dubai police imposed additional fines for road users.
Dubai police said on the eve that it will fine motorists who pose a threat to other road users, stopping their vehicles on the roadway, throwing out garbage, and so on during the celebration of Independence Day of the UAE.
Dubai police sent a warning on celebrations in honor of the 46th Independence Day, in connection with which law enforcement officials will apply additional fines of up to AED 2,000 for violation of order and dangerous driving, in addition, the car of the offender can be detained for up to 60 days.
"Police attention will be focused on the most serious traffic violations that usually occur during the celebration of Independence Day, such as dangerous driving that threatens the lives of other road users, stopping on the carriageway for no reason, and the like," the team leader Al Mazrui.
On all roads in Dubai, especially at major intersections, police patrols will be deployed to monitor the traffic situation. On major highways and at venues for celebrations, radars will be installed to control the speed limit.
List of traffic police fines for violations committed during the celebration of Independence Day:
Dangerous driving: 2000 dirhams, 23 black points and car arrest for 60 days.
A fine of 1000 dirhams, 6 black points for stopping a vehicle on the road for no reason.
2000 dirhams, 12 black points, car arrest for 60 days for driving a car in excess of the permissible noise level.
1500 dirhams for exceeding the permissible tinting of car windows.
500 dirhams, 4 black points, car arrest for 15 days for driving a car in an unauthorized convoy.
500 dirhams for placing posters on a vehicle without permission.
400 dirhams, 4 black points for using a car horn or other signal that violates public order.
400 dirhams, 4 black points for non-compliance with traffic rules.
400 dirhams for blocking the car flow.
1000 dirhams, 6 black points for throwing garbage out of the vehicle.
400 dirhams for intentional concealment of a license plate.
