The promenade project with beach areas and new entertainment facilities will be implemented in the emirate of Sharjah.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE, on Saturday, November 25, approved the project of large-scale development of the embankment. The total project area is 200 thousand square meters. m
The project, which is part of the strategic plan of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council, aims to develop world-class facilities, improve tourism infrastructure and improve living standards in the emirate. It is expected that it will attract more tourists and contribute to economic development.
The Sharjah Beach Development Project will ultimately lead to the creation of a popular destination for tourism and recreation, turning the 3.3-km-long area along the Sharjah Beach Road from the border with the emirate of Ajman to the Sharjah Ladies Club into a world-class space.
Sheikh Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council, said the Council is making extra efforts to develop a unique design for the project.
Sheikh Khalid added that the project is being implemented in collaboration with numerous government departments.
Khalid Muhammad Al Ali, general secretary of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council, added that the natural elements of the project are carefully selected to enhance its aesthetics and further improve the quality of the environment.
The project consists of several areas - cycling routes, pedestrian areas, restaurant areas, water sports areas. The project also provides all necessary facilities for visitors, such as prayer places and parking spaces for 1,100 cars on both sides of the road.
He confirmed that high-quality materials will be used in the implementation of the project.
