Al Rostamani Group, the largest and oldest family business in the United Arab Emirates, has been successfully operating in the country for 57 years. The group has an extremely diverse portfolio, including trade, cars, heavy equipment, travel and travel organization, currency exchange, financial services, construction and real estate, contracting, construction of infrastructure projects, telecommunications and much more.
Despite its extensive and active work, Al Rostamani Group does not stop there, adding more and more new projects, promotions and campaigns to its list of assets. The signing of an agreement between the Al Rostamani Group and the famous French automaker Citroen on the start of sales of Citroen cars in the United Arab Emirates was no exception. In accordance with the agreement, Al Rostamani Group is now the sole agent and exclusive distributor of Citroen throughout the UAE.
Citroen was created in 1919 by André Citroen and became the first company in the world to manufacture cars outside the United States. Since 1976, it has become part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen concern. Originally a manufacturer of mass-market cars with a relatively simple design, Citroen shocked the world in 1934 with the innovative Traction Avant, the world's first mass-produced front-wheel drive car (1934 - 1956). Other iconic models are H Van (1947 - 1981, "HY"), 2CV (1948 - 1990, "Duck Tail"), DS (1955 - 1975, "Goddess") and CX (1974 - 1991).
