British traveler living in Dubai sets a new world record

The British explorer and traveler Adrian Hayes, permanently resident in Dubai, broke his own world record by successfully completing the longest snowkiting * expedition in Greenland. Researcher and traveler Adrian Hayes is well known for his other world records, long included in the Guinness Book of Records, including even climbing the three poles of the Earth in the shortest time. Hayes' new record is the passage of 4262 km of track from the northern tip of Greenland to its very northwestern point, which took 67 days. Hays made an amazing and very difficult journey with two other travelers - Devon MacDiarmid and Derek Crowe. According to experts, the route of such increased difficulty was completed for the first time in the world.

“Our trip across the whole of Greenland was one of the most strategically complex and difficult that I have ever participated in,” Hayes shared in one of his interviews. “The successful conclusion of this event is the result of our team efforts. Despite the fact that the expedition was not undertaken to achieve new records, but for completely different purposes, I am glad that it was noted and recognized as the Guinness Book of Records.”

Recall that snowkiting is a sport and active recreation, which is a towing kite class exclusively on an inclined plane, that is, on the slopes of mountains, hills, hills covered with snow, using skis or a snowboard. Comes from the English phrase snowkiting. It is an original Alpine sport, as it was born in the 1970s in the Alps as a result of the experiments of Dieter Strazilla.
