JW Marriott Marquis will be the tallest hotel in Dubai

The 355-meter-tall JW Marriott Marquis Hotel opens on Dubai's main Sheikh Zayed Road near Safa Park Public Park in the fourth quarter of this year.

The hotel, which belongs to the Emirates Group, is designed for 1608 rooms. After commissioning, it intends to “take away” the title of the tallest hotel in the world from the 72-story Rose Reyhaan Rotana, to which it belongs today.

The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel is built in two phases. The first of them will include 804 rooms, restaurants and recreation areas. The second phase will be put into operation at the end of 2013. The authors of the project expect that its main customers will be business travelers - passengers at Emirates. In particular, the hotel will be able to accommodate large delegations attending exhibitions and congresses in Dubai.

“Our hotel will fill a hotel niche that can offer groups of more than 1000 people to meet, spend the night and dine under one roof. This will further strengthen the image of Dubai as the world congress and exhibition capital,” said Ruprecht Kveich, CEO of the hotel. He specified that the hotel will include 5 thousand square meters. meters of space for events, 9 restaurants and 5 recreation areas, a spa, a health club and 2 halls for celebrations.
